This page explains how RMB Live News Jobs decides what to publish, how we check it, and what we do when we get something wrong. We publish it so readers can judge our work by a stated standard rather than guessing at one.
1. Our Purpose
We publish employment news, hiring announcements and career guidance. Our aim is that a reader can act on what we publish — check eligibility, meet a deadline, prepare an application — without being misled.
2. Sourcing
Every job listing and hiring report is traced to a primary source wherever one exists: an official notification, an employer’s own careers page, a government or regulatory publication, or a direct statement from the organisation doing the hiring.
- Where a primary source exists, we link to it so readers can confirm details first-hand.
- Where we rely on a secondary report, we say so and name it.
- Where information is unconfirmed, we label it as unconfirmed — or we do not publish it.
- We do not republish listings from aggregators or social media without independent confirmation.
3. Verification
Before a listing is published we aim to confirm the identity and existence of the employer, the authenticity of the notification, the eligibility criteria and closing date, and the official channel through which applications are made.
Listings that fail these checks are not published. Listings demanding fees from candidates are rejected outright and, where appropriate, reported.
4. Accuracy and Currency
Recruitment information dates quickly. We date our reports, note when criteria or deadlines have changed, and mark listings as closed or withdrawn when we learn that they are. Even so, readers should always confirm details against the employer’s official channels before acting — a point we repeat in our Disclaimer because it genuinely matters.
5. Corrections
We correct errors rather than quietly removing them.
- Report an error through our Contact page, with the page URL and the specific point at issue.
- We assess reports promptly and verify before changing anything.
- Minor typographical fixes are made silently.
- Substantive corrections — anything that changes the meaning or could have affected a reader’s decision — are noted on the page, with what changed and when.
- Where an article is so flawed that correction is not sufficient, we withdraw it and explain why.
6. Independence from Advertising
This site is funded by third-party advertising, and we keep that separate from editorial judgement:
- Advertisers have no influence over what we cover or how we cover it.
- No advertiser receives advance sight of our reporting.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage, favourable treatment, or the removal of accurate reporting.
- Advertisements are supplied by advertising networks and are visually distinguishable from editorial content.
- Any sponsored or affiliate content, should we publish it, will be clearly labelled as such.
7. Use of Automated Tools
We may use software tools to help monitor sources, format listings and check text. Editorial responsibility for everything we publish rests with us, not with any tool. Factual claims are verified against primary sources regardless of how a draft was produced.
8. Fraud Prevention
Job seekers are actively targeted by fraud, and we treat keeping fraudulent listings off this site as a core editorial duty rather than an afterthought. We screen for the common signals — fee demands, requests for banking credentials, employers that cannot be verified, offers made with no selection process — and we act on reader reports quickly. Confirmed fraudulent listings are removed, and where a pattern affects readers broadly we will report on it.
9. Attribution and Copyright
We credit sources and link to original material. We quote briefly and fairly rather than reproducing others’ work wholesale. If you believe we have used your material improperly, our DMCA page sets out how to raise it.
10. Feedback
Corrections, complaints and criticism can be sent through our Contact page. We read all of it.
